Lille misses chance to move level with leader PSG, Lyon wins

Lille missed the chance to move level on points with French league leader Paris Saint-Germain when it drew 1-1 at Saint-Etienne on Sunday. Saint-Etienne avoided an eighth straight league defeat, taking the lead through forward Wahbi Khazri's 32nd-minute penalty. Lille pressured strongly after the break and forward Jonathan Ikone equalized in the 64th, but then veteran Turkey striker Burak Yilmaz scooped a shot over for Lille when ideally placed with 15 minutes left.
