Jim McLean, Dundee Utd's title-winning coach in 1983, dies

Jim McLean, the Scottish soccer manager who led Dundee United to its only domestic league title in 1983 and the European Cup semifinals the following year, has died. McLean spent 22 years as United's manager from 1971, leading the team to Scottish League Cup trophies in 1980 and '81 as well as two more finals. The team was runner-up in the Scottish Cup six times under his charge.
