UPDATE 1-Greek current account gap widens in April, tourism revenue up
Greece's current account deficit widened in April from a year earlier, with the gap reaching 2.079 billion euros ($2.48 billion) from 1.146 billion euros in April 2020, the Bank of Greece said on Friday. The central bank attributed the widening to a deterioration in the trade, services and secondary income balances and said it was partly offset by the primary income balance. In the first four months of the year Greece's current account gap widened slightly by 107 million euros to 4.8 billion euros compared to the same period a year earlier because of a larger trade and services deficit, the Bank of Greece said.
